The Ward Cabaret celebrates Toronto's first multicultural neighbourhood, where the first Italian, Jewish, Chinese, and free-Blacks settled from the 19th century to early 1950's before the area was cleared to make way for Toronto's new City Hall. Michael Occhipinti is an assistant to Artistic Director David Buchbinder, contributing his knowledge of Italian folk and popular song.
